Laserium’s January 2007 Show Lineup
Sunday, December 31st, 2006Laserium’s Van Nuys Cyberstudio is offering its regular lineup of The Beatles at 6:00, Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon at 8:00 and Led Zeppelin at 10:00 on Saturdays January 6 and 20, with special Dark Side-only performances at 8:00 on the alternate Saturdays, January 13 and 27.
Complete information and directions are available at www.laserium.com, Laserium at Cyberstudio, or 818 997-3624.
The Cyberstudio is located at:
6911 Hayvenhurst Ave.,
Van Nuys, CA 91406
marked by the lighted Laserium sign.
Admission is $15 online or in cash at the door, with reservations required at laserium@earthlink.net or at 818 997-6611.
Groups of 5 or more must pay in advance at a dollar off.
And all reservations cannot be confirmed without advance payment.
Because seating is limited, patrons are advised to make early reservations noting the number in their party and desired show time. Each show experience lasts about 1.5 hours and will include the interactive technologies to be incorporated in the forthcoming Laserium Cyberdome.
Enhancing the shows will be stunning multi-color laser effects filling the air overhead. In an adjacent studio, patrons will also have fun enjoying the unique, “freespace-interactive” LightDancer, which puts their full body in flawless control of lasers, video and musical accompaniment. Says Ivan Dryer, creator of Laserium, “Our Cyberstudio may be intimate in scale, but the effects are pretty overwhelming, and what people can see and do is unlike anything available anywhere—even previously at the Griffith Observatory!”

Buy Art for the Holidaze
Thursday, December 21st, 2006Get Emmeric while you still can!!!
We are having a holiday clearance sale of Emmeric Konrad’s back stock of paintings. These are paintings from his days of yore, just returned from Phoenix , so they have not been shown in L.A. for a while.
If you happen to be a first timer in the art scene of downtown, keep in mind that this is one of the rising super stars who will one day be in the pages of history. I urge you to consider buying a piece of his work this holiday season for a number of reasons:
- This is the last time his work will be available at low negotiable “friend” prices.
- His art will be touring other cities this year, and will be rarely available in L.A. So this is your last chance to get a good deal.
- His tour will take him to San Francisco, Palm Springs, New York, and then international.
- So that means this is his glory year where the value of his art will skyrocket…
- which brings me to the best reason of all…
This is an INVESTMENT. What you purchase will balloon in value in your lifetime. You will be purchasing an asset AND supporting the arts AND beautifying your home with very cool hip art.
Okay, this is the actually the very best reason… We need some time for him to develop his new body of work, which means, if you buy a piece of art now, you will be supporting Emmeric and Dazzle on our quest to vanquish the enemies of all that is evil and horrible in the world.
I created a photo web gallery featuring pieces of his work that are available. For the caption I list the dimensions and gallery prices. These prices are negotiable right now to the “friend” rate, which will be considerably lower. Please call me for a meeting time, and for a price negotiation.
If interested, please call me at 213-880-7082

If you or anyone else you know is into getting a good deal on art that WILL appreciate in value, then send them my way. Being an artist is a very difficult life sometimes, and right now we’re both having a rough time because of coming out of painful periods in our lives. It would be a GREAT help to us right now if you would consider buying some pieces. That’s why we’re letting go of them cheaper for you.
Notice also that emmeric is producing a new set of Xmas balls available for $45. For your shopping list, consider giving a gift that will appreciate in value, and be really cool! Not everyone gets to hold and display emmeric’s balls!
Lots of holiday love to you!!!

SantaCon, SF Style… and then some
Thursday, December 21st, 2006An estimated 400 Santas participated in the 2006 SF Santarchy event. Some classic moments were going down Lombard Street, the zombie attack at the Hustler Club, and the HO! tagging on the fire truck, but the real high point was when Santa crashed the wedding.

A message from Josh:
To give you an idea about how AMAZING Lost toys was… I’m still too much in recovery mode to even THINK about writing a witty intro, and it’s halfway through Monday…
also, most of the friends are surprisingly quiet this Monday…. methinks that just about everybody is still recovering from this one!
What a party. Talk about everyone stepping up their game, Wolfie and hipgenesis did an amazing job on this one, the RLD lounge and dj’s… WOW! and performing was a blast!!
I hope everyone enjoyed the show, as much as we enjoyed performing.
And then, we all went to Lynnsane’s birthday afterparty! I don’t even think most people are going to wake up until Tuesday.
And if that’s not enough… photos are also up from SantaCon, and The Forbidden City! Big thanks to the SantaCon organizers for an amazing time, and Ninja Skillz for setting up an amazing Forbidden City in a downtown bar…
all photos are up at http://www.curiousjosh.com
enjoy!
