Travel Translation Travesties
Most of us have done some traveling outside the country and have seen it and been amused: There you are, traveling, somewhere in the world, nowhere near home. You see a sign, ostensibly for the benefit and convenience of the hosting nation’s English speaking visitors… Except the sign isn’t exactly English… Sure, the words themselves are recognizable as English, but when put together in a sentence, well it’s more along the lines of the butchering of the English language…. You can’t help but to laugh out loud. Just might even make your day.
